Can't agree more with you again Wade. The C&TS is a gem that shines in all its raw and earth setting and is a true National Shrine to railroads and history. Unfortuntely Durango and the western slope of Colorado changed forever when the 'beautiful people' discovered it was the in place to be altering and redefining its character. Hence urban sprawl heading up the Animas Valley which even has its own Purgatory!
