Ron and all,

Note that at the very bottom of the Q&TL page (the first link you posted) there is a link to Pasty.com. They do a neat daily feature on the UP, along with offering some of the best pastys on the web (for those of you who are not former Youppers, a pasty is a savory pastry with origins in Cornwall, England. Click on that link to find out more...) Having once spent a year in the UP (I attended Northern Michigan University back in 1967) it's like a little trip back in time. (And, that's where I first ran across LS&I 18 and her sisters (two of which are now at Alamosa).
