First off, thanks to Don for getting me back in the air...
18 ran real well, and steamed great. We had lots of problems that weekend, but 18 was not one of them. Steve Butler, Chris Brophy, Greg Udolph and John Charles worked thier butts off to get 18 out the door, working late into the night to get her back together. The only test run we could do was a short jaunt in the yard on Friday night.
First a couple more pics:
#18 greets the morning sun at La Veta, ready to head east - the first steam locomotive east of La Veta since 1955.
As Scott observed, John charles took some shots with my camera on a few of the runbys. This is the "Going Away Glint Shot" from the runby east of La Veta that Mr West posted ealier.

Headed up the hill at MP 205.
After a runby east of Fir, 18 gets underway and works over the top of the hill.
