Re: Visit to Chama from Switzerland

Hello to all,
first - thanks a lot for all these wonderful responses with many good hints and tips. We are really looking forward to this trip. Thanks especially to Jay Wimer who we will meet, to John West (maybe we'll meet too) and all others.
Let me add a few more words about me and my family: I've been caught into Colorado NG railroading many years ago (1976 at age of 16) and started modelling it soon after in HOn3. It's quite an adventure here in Switzerland, but fortunately Switzerland has quite a large community interested in US RR. My first visit to the CATS was in '81 as a young student. Since then I settled down, got married (with a wife that likes riding trains too), and we have now 3 children. My eldest - a daughter - even beats me as a railfan - so I'm a very fortunate man! I visited the CATS (and Colorado) in 87,90,95,99, the last 2 times with the kids. My "other" hobby is Blues and Hard Rock music where I'm actively playing Hammond organ in a band - with quite a few train songs... Professionally I have a PhD in Physics and I'm working at the University of Basel.
So, July 9th has a big red mark on my calendar...
