Lukas...
I suggest you start by phoning the Chama depot, and asking if the General Manager, Dan Ranger, would be willing to greet you, and tell you about the hassles of running the C&TS RR. In my experience, Dan is a very friendly person who loves to talk railroading. I'd be quite surprised if he wouldn't be able to say hello, or "Wie gehts", and possibly arrange a little tour for you.
I assume you've done your homework as regards visiting Colorado, seeking narrow gauge joy. You will go to the Colorado Railroad Museum at Boulder, to the Georgetown Loop Railroad, and Durango? If you need further guidance, just say so.
My best narrow gauge railroad experience in Switzerland was the on the Zillertalbahn, on the trip to Zermatt. And the wonderful little town, with no cars. I hope your trip to the C&TS RR is just as much fun for you and yours.
