If a pressure vessel is altered according to the code definition, 150% of MAWP is required. A new vessel must be tested to 1 1/2 times per ASME Section I, PG-99. FRA requires a 125% test annually, after an alteration, after installation of a flush patch or riveting on unstayed portions.
