Re: 493 and 494 because...

I agree completely with 494 as the middle engine, I can't read the number on my screen, but the patch pattern is unmistakable.

William, while I can't see the number on 494's cab, I do seem to be able to see that the tender of the first engine has the high sides typical of 490. On page 160 of the NG Pictorial #1, there is a 7/58 Grandt photo of #490 in Farmington, so it was in the area at that time, and, it has no visor on the backup light.

So my choices are 490 and 494.
