Rick: Negative on your five-pointed star. I have walked this area inch by inch and the photo image is not part of any building. No remains can be seen in this aerial photograph. I am convinced that the original building foundations will only be revealed by a GPR survey. (ground penetrating radar) We are working on this option...albeit it is very expensive to do. The natural erosion and soil coming down from the natural gulch and was has long burried any building foundations. The big clue for us will be the original 1880's map of the site which we have for our re-survey. Right now, nothing is visible on the surface and that it why it took three laborious trecks into this area before we found the site. On treck #1 we almost fell off a 200' cliff, and on treck #2
somebody almost drowned. This is not an easy site to research and why the USFS Rangers could not even see it until I told when what to look for and exactly where to look. That is why souvineer hunters will fail, but where research will unlock Saxonia's secrets...I hope.
