Thanks for posting the great photos. It sure looks like a trip of a lifetime ( minus the derailment part of course!)

The countryside reminds me of a misplaced part of Montana that got lost down in the southern hemisphere. Even the snow dusting the high spots in the background remind me of Montana.

Is the line railfan friendly? Approx. how many steamers remain operational? Don't they operate with vaccuum brakes? Could make it exciting...

Thanks again for posting the photos. Hope the line stays around.
