Thanks Dave. I could tell about what they did at McEwen from the remaining evidence on the ground, but this is the first time I have seen it drawn out. Do you have the part between the two plats, and does it show both the old and new alignments? It would be interesting to see how far it actually moved. I have the original alignment, and could plot it from that if it is not available.
When they surveyed the original line they set a pin on the centerline where ever it crossed a section line. Where the old line is not disturbed it might be possible to find these with a metal detector. I do not know if this practice was perpetuated on the new alignment.
