I'm the same as you Jim, no time at the moment, but it will be interesting to compare. Several of the roads mentioned would appear to correspond to roads that exist today. My hunch is that mile markers remained in the same locations despite track relocation except for those within the actual relocation. The reason I think this could be the case is that there are a number of "miles" on the SVRy 1916 maps that are noted as long miles or short miles, which makes me think the actual MP locations were approximate, but also adjusted +- for greater convenience for train crew reference. For instance a mile marker might be moved a few hundred feet one way or the other rather than be place on blind corner, in the middle of a bridge, grade crossing or in some way not be readily visible. This is just a guess, what do you think Jim?
