I'm with you, Scott!
I prefer the RR atmosphere in Chama and Ely far more than that in Durango. In spite of the excellent museum, it's just not the same as when I was travelling back and forth to college in the early sixties and stopped by the yard in Durango just to warm up in the cab of a hot engine before heading to the "Western Steak House" for some oyster stew and a burger.
On the other hand, there's not a lot to do in Chama after the switching is done. Once Ed, Skip and I get our band going in Chama and liven up Friday & Saturday nights, then Ely will have some competition!

p.s. Dang! The music smiley, "
", doesn't work any more. You'll just have to settle for the two-beer smiley, above. (Don is probably tired of my smart-ass comments and hijacking threads, and has disabled "
" just to get even!)
