One of the possibilities that Gordon and I thought of was that when Kneiss began his research in the 30's (or perhaps before) there might have been people still alive who witnessed the discussion and related it from memory. Dave Myrick was the first to attach a specific date, so hopefully he will call back with some info from his files. Gordon also notes that there are at least two versions of the discussion, with one having Yerington asking Mills, the other Sharon asking Mills. Then of course there is always the Carl Fallberg cartoon.
By the way, the new Volume THREE of Myrick's Railroads of Nevada and Eastern Calornia will hit the books stores this month if it is not there already.
