Public safety surely has to be the first issue in operating a tourist railroad. In spite of their other flaws (perceived or real), does anyone think that the CHS/Railstar would be so unwise as to operate the loop with unsafe equipment or an incompetent staff?? I find this hard to believe. I'm certain that Railstar (If not the CHS) would not want the liability. They may not be able to pull steam out of their hat for the first year (who knows?), but compromise safety (as some posts have implied)?? That is a pretty strong accusation.
They are not likely to share their plans with this board, however.....
