Since RGS #20 is already under restoration, I'd probably go for RGS #461. She was one of the four K-27's with the extra 'hitch in her get-along' to accommodate the offset when Walshearts valve gear was applied to an engine with piston valves aligned for Stephenson gear. (See [
ngdiscussion.net] for details.)
My second choice would be a Mason Garrett similar to this initial design for the Georgianatown Loop-de-Loop but never built due to the Depression of the 1930's

The plans were discovered in the vault of the depot, still in working order, when the Colorado Histörical Society took over operations circa 2005. The design was "Americanized" somewhat to fit the CHS' idea of what a true wild-west locomotive should look like (note that they forgot the deer antlers on the headlight), and enlarged to fit the anticipated huge increase in patronage that, sadly, has not yet occurred

Recent discussions with Haich O'Maender at the CRRM have resulted in a toned-down, more authentic Moffat Green color scheme, and the decision that - if built - a "bear-trap" cinder catcher will be applied to the front stack and either a Congdon or Diamond stack mounted on the fuel-oil tank to accommodate the exhaust from the rear engine when starting 'simple'.
