... whilst living in To-Hell-You-Ride several decades ago, my efforts to instigate the reconstruction
of part of the RGS led to my being the first "bearded hippy"* inducted into the San Miguel County
B.P.O.E. (Brotherhood and Protective Order of Elks).

* Their words, not mine: I had - and still have (48 months out of 50) - a beard.  I am not, and have never been, a hippy.
  (But I am - like you - most definitely a member of F.O.O.F.!)

p.s. In terms of mathematical logic, 'Curmudgeons' is a subset of 'Old Farts';   i.e. all Curmudgeons are Old Farts,
      but not all Old Farts are Curmudgeons.   (Technically, "proper subset" should be used here, but there is little -
      if anything - 'proper' about either Curmudgeons or Old Farts.)
