Et tu, Mike?
Yes, you too can become an "official" curmudgeon! We are still in need of three good photos of the last D&RGW revenue freight from Chama to Cumbres on August 29, 1968, to replace three faded and grainy EktaChromes on Volume I of the "Help Restore #483" screen saver (see [
www.drgw483.net]).
We also need a few photos from the 1970's to replace some of my own so-so shots on Volume 2, and I think (hope, pray) that Scott Turner will be able to take primary responsibility for Volumes 3 & 4 (the 1980's & 1990's, respectively), for which we have not yet begun to gather photos.
If you can help with any of the above, you may be able to join John Craft (an honorary junior curmudgeon, "cubmudgeon", or curmudgeon-in-training), Tom Gildersleeve, Roger Hogan, Ernie Robart, Scott Turner, John West and myself as a member of the select group Roger originally referred to as "Five Old Farts" (now seven) helping to raise funds for the restoration of the C&TS first locomotive - #483.

p.s. Unless John Craft's part is outsourced due to his excessive youthfulness, I can't promise you a starring role in 'The Curmudgeonly Seven' - the title obviously precludes this - but I'm sure a cameo role or 'bit' part can be arranged ...
