On the West Coast the Pacific Coast and the Nevada-California-Oregon used full size couplers. Also I think the Oahu used full-size couplers.

3/4 size couplers were used on the SP Mina-Keeler operation, the Eureka-Nevada, the Nevada Central and the White Pass & Yukon Route. I believe the Northwestern Pacific operation also used 3/4 size.
