315 TUT Excursion on the D&S

Having just returned from Colorado I thought I might share some pics from last week. First though I need to thank all those involved with the 315 run on the D&S. Thanks first to the DRHS organization who proved without a shadow of doubt what a group of dedicated volunteers can accomplish is truly inspiring. In talking with the principles of the DRHS it is my understanding that they will resolve the storage situation just like they have overcome the many obstacles in the restoration process. Let’s all give them the time and consideration to work things out. To the city of Durango for being supportive to the DRHS and the D&S. To the D&S and its employees who are a class act that make running excursions like this possible. And lastly to Trains Unlimited Tours and especially tour host Ron Burkhard for putting together a truly memorable experience. Riding behind a working C class locomotive running over the D&S with numerous photo stops along the way was one of the best fan trips I have ever been on and I hope some of the following pictures capture some of the "magic" for those of you who couldn’t be there in person.
