I would suggest Alpine, Marshall or the east(south) side of Boreas.

In general I'd look for lines that went through scenery not visible from a highway and where the area was not completley built over with summer mansions. Also at least one termini on a major highway.

F&CC might work, at least until the first big flood...

So, Pitken to Nathrop, Sargent to Shirley, Como to Boreas.

The original CM line via Hagerman tunnel (Leadville to say Thomasville) might work also but has the problems of the Hagerman Trestle to rebuild and getting aroung Turquoise lake west of Arkansas Jct. Oh, and tunnel 17. D&SL over Carona (Winter park to Mammoth) but again Trestles/tunnels to rebuild. of \course those are Std ga.
