All of the discussions concerning the loop have left me wondering just how much narrow gauge equipment there is left out there that could be fixed up and used by excursion railroads like the Georgetown Loop. Suppose somehow I had the big bucks to go out and restore a piece of ROW.....
e.g.
Silverton - Eureka or
Part of the Monarch Branch or
Part of the RGS or
Trout Creek Pass or
.... the list goes on
Realistically, and assuming I did not want to build a replica, where could I go to get enough steam power to establish daily operations?
