The story with the Como Depot is that it has been too far gone for way too long (decades, not years) to be able to save it.
All of the structural timbers are in need of replacement, and the thinking has been for years that it is doomed to fall down. I'm amazed it wasn't condemned 20 years ago.
On the positive side, every detail has been documented and it can be completely rebuilt, and will be.
No one wants the old structure torn down, I believe it is part of a designated Historical Site which prohibits that anyway, but it simply can't be saved.
Every time I've seen it in the last 25 years was the last, I was sure.
Anyway, that's the scoop.
