San Juan C-16 Kits

In an earlier post somebody mentioned the San Juan C-16 kit. I've seen the pilot model in various stages of completion (superb is the word that comes to mind). However, has anybody seen a built-up production version yet? Do they run as well as the pilot model? How are sales, and based on that, does John still intend to offer other C-16s in the future? I know that he talked of K-27s if the C-16s sold well.
My next question. Is the slew of On30 stuff from Bachman having any effect on his sales? Yeah, they're cheap, but so far as I can tell they aren't models of any particular prototype. I'd hate to see the cheap imported stuff cut into his sales, as I'm of the opinion that Mr. Parker has been one of the folks keeping On3 viable.
