Steam operates scheduled trains only on weekends -- and it was impossible for me to get to Skagway from Seattle via cruise ship on a weekend or I would have done so. However, I think they keep her hot and doing a little switching around the docks about every day because customers like to see her. I really was sad not to see the 69 (except through the engine house door), but at least someday maybe I will.
