I chose to fire part way down, then I owed Randy some right-hand-side time so he took 315 from Rockwood to Hermosa. We were using automatic air (no straight air on 315, except independent for engine only) and there were no apparent problems.
The engine could easily handle more cars. Like other engines with the Master Mechanic frojnt-end baffling, it is a little touchy firing upgrade. The fire needs to be fed evenly but frequently and it likes it up front. It coulds get to be a struggle to fire (like 463) with a tonnage train. It may run with as many as six cars for A TUT freight charter along with the Sivlerton-overnight charter September 27-28.
