Pacific Coast Railroad

September 10, 2007 10:15AM
Hi everyone.

I thought I'd lighten up the board a bit with some good news from the Far west or left coast as some call it.

The pacific Coast Railroad of Santa Margarita Ca. is growing.

work has been on goinig on a new five track yard that will include a storage building for the equipment. The yard is being constructed using 90lbs relay rail from Utah. The grading was done by Bow Valley constuction. The actuall railroad construction is being done by Sharps & Fellows Rail contractors.

The overall plan also calls for an additional two miles of main line track to be built. This exstension will feature a wye and a pass track. In all this should give us just over four miles of three foot gauge railroad to run on.
