Innocent ,my ass !

There are several good reasons for NOT to write an autobiogaphy :
1.I would have to curb my proclivity of carpet bombing my rivals and enemies ,real or imagined .
2.I was always just a little cog in the machine ,and am still learning what really happened to the railroads I worked on .
3.Once when discussing the idea of a novel with a railroader far smarter than yours truly , this buddy pointed out that railroading is like a lot of other dangerous jobs : years of stultifying boredom punctuated by a few minutes of pure terror.
4.I really don't know all that much .If I pretend I do I will make a fool of myself . Nevertheless John Norwood has turned out all kinds of mistakes in his books and they sell...!
5.The story isn't over yet ,though I doubt much else will happen of note in the remainder of my my
r.r. career .
