The car probably follows standard design practice.
Try to find a copy of the 1879, 1887 or 1906 Car Builders Dictionaries. I reference them so much that I finally broke down and bought some re-prints that were made in the 1970s. They'll give you great general overviews and give you the basis to ask Dan more specific questions. <img class=" />
Below is an exploded-end-view of a Carter Brothers Combine with flooring and some wall detail.
