I have a few questions about GE Diesel No, 720. The Panama railroad it worked on had a number of steep grades, up to 5%. GE had an option to install dynamic brakes on the U6B, and also on their 50-ton diesels. Does No. 720 have dynamic brakes, or is there evidence that it had them at one time?
GE had an option to install multiple-unit capability on these diesels. Does NO. 720 have MU, or is there evidence that it had MU capability? Some of the GE 50-ton diesels delivered to Costa Rica had both dynamic brakes and MU capability.
Can you post a picture of your new diesel when it arrives? When your representative(s) were down in Panama, did they see any of the Brill 55 motorcars or were they gone?
