It is always a treat to have Rail Fest bring special trains and events to Silverton. Here a few shots of Goose 5 waiting between scheduled runs this morning, and in the back ground are recently painted and lettered freight and work cars that have sat long neglected in the "Rail Freight Museum" that was supposed to be part of the railroad's effort to preserve some of its D&RGW heritage. A volunteer crew of D&SNG employees is responsible for this long neglected need.
