Actually the C&S equipment was owned by then-receiver Victor Miller, and he disposed of most of the cars after he was replaced (rumor is that he had been married to the daughter of the Bankruptcy judge, and when they divorced he lost the gig...). A few cars remained, but most of them were sold to Chicago Rail Parts and left the RGS. This of course explains the owner plates applied to these cars during this era...
