Unfortunately, all too often, those who know the "most" about steam just buy film...and then gripe really loud when the RR goes belly up.
Perhaps instead of laughing at all those unenlightened people bearing tickets, we should attempt to teach them how to effectively tresspass to get that good shot, and to drive 60mph on the wrong side of the road, while hanging out the window with a camcorder, and somehow manage to look down thur noses at everything while thur doin it too....
OTOH: Maybe, we should just come up with some literature, a pamphlrt that gives all the basic information in a format (words and drawings) that even a middle school kid can understand, and then have it available. Granted it won't cure the arrogant know-it-alls, but it might help cure simple ignorance.
As for the fellows who seem determined to argue that its really a dismal, just agree, then say "Smile, you're on Candid Camera!" and walk away.
