well if you ingnore the tenders the 3700's were bigger than the 3800's

specs availible online put the 3700's with 23by32" cylinders 70" drivers and 105,000 pounds tractive effort
the 3800's come in at 21by32" 69" drivers and 97350 pounds tractive effort

preety close but still...

number 3700 in all her glory
