"Could be?" You are more of an optimist that I!! (I love how the article adds that last paragraph about 73,000 riders
despite not running 12 days last season still being more than the 2005 season ridership total.) How many people have missed out on a ride on the Loop due to these unforseen problems? How much lost revenue? How much wasted taxpayer $$$?!!! When will Coloradoans wake up and realize that this particular "Golden Goose" has had it's guts wrenched out by the CHS and there won't be any more eggs??
Everytime their "spinmeister" comes out with platitudes like "scheduled maintenance" (even though they didn't have any notices up and were still selling tickets for
every day!) and we are supposed to
believe them without question, it just erodes their already strained-beyond-the-breaking-point credibility!!
I'm sick of people telling us not to bitch about this! The CHS has taken a first class money making operation and in three years has, at the very least, turned it into just another money pit railroad needing financial help just to keep operating each and every year. The really sad part is that the real culprits will never be held accountable. Just once I would like to see those responsible get what they deserve!!
Why is #9 not being discussed anymore? Answer: It can't save their collective asses so it's been relegated to the back-burner! Besides, once the #111 is up and running isn't the #9 supposed to be given to Breckenridge as an exchange? It should be interesting to see if the powers that be at the CHS send #9 to Breckenridge as a static display and concentrate their funding on getting the #111 running properly.
