Yup, I know the one you mean. I had forgotten about that one.
They sure are cute little puppies. I seem to recall there are/were couple of similar locos in Java. Straight tank lokies though, no tenders.
I know its not prototypical, and purists would howl, but I like the nice rich, metallic blue color that Jim Birmingham painted his loco's cab and tank. With the red-lined, gold lettering and the graphite smokebox, the result looks pretty classy. He was telling me that it is automotive paint produced by Ford. The running joke around the CC&V was they were going to add "racing flames" to the side of the tank.
Don Halleck of Strasburg/Wolfeboro fame used to joke at train time, that "the missile was on the launching pad." He'd have appreciated the racing flames.
