Well, if anybody can restore these cars the Friends can. I hope they can manage to do it, as there aren't any new stock cars out there.
Incidently I was passing through Montrose last week, and noticed a couple of stock cars (and a box car) in a campground near there. I also saw a box car up in Grand Jct (lettered for D&RGW 3001). Any chance any of these might be acquired or is it a case of "I know what they are worth"?
I've added a shot of the 3001...
