I've heard that the rock was blasted and removed in recent years due to road improvements in the area....but it lay right where it fell for many years...rails and ties still under it. I haven't been back in the area since the early 1970's so I don't know what the place would look like now.
Maybe all signs of the incident have been romoved by Father Time.......Except the patch on the upper smokebox of Eng 492.......
