Agreed, there were some serious mistakes made throughout the first couple seasons. But, wouldn't you call this year starting over? Seriously, everybody seems to admit that the #9 was rushed and that the #12 needed work so they decided not to do something stupid and try to get #9 ready for the beginning of this season, instead of rushing the #12 and trying to get it back up and running for the season they postponed the start of the season and they purchased what seems like it could be a reliable diesel to give the two steamers a break so they didn't push them. Maybe these things are all just coincidentally happening like this, but it seems like they decided to start over to me. If they survive this season it looks like next season they will have three operations steam engines and two operational diesels which seems to me like a decent fleet. Granted they will probably never be as efficient and successful as the prior operators, but I think if all five of the engines are operational they will have a good start.
