Railroad Festivals

I'm writing an article for a publication about tourism events...like Railroad Festivals. I have researched and found two I am interested in.
I am aware of one in Durango, CO and Chama, NM.
Because I have been told that both are private businesses, information on these has been difficult to obtain.
I am interested in investigating if these festivals are worthwhile for communities to consider, if there is a possibility that these festivals can end up in the 'black' dollar wise.
If anyone has any information on number of paying participants, duration of the festivals, overhead costs, and net receipts, I would appreciate reading that information here.
