Les,
Their plan is to probably build the generator then build the rest of the system to fit.
Why would narrow gauge engines use a 32 volt system? The boiler pressure and dynamos too small to turn out higher yields? Or are the headlights that much lower of wattage?
I must confess that my area of interest really is in pre-1900 equipment, so electrical systems are a rather large void in my knowledge. Kerosene & acetylene on the other hand.
