George you might clear out your "cookies" and dump your temp files. Restart and then try again. Other than that you are pretty much limited. I lived with dial-up for two years here. Phone lines have been in the ground since 1970's and since I am the guy at the end of the food chain no way the lines will be replaced.
Hughes Net came along and I didn't look back.
