Something about the Mohave & Milltown not included in any prior write-up:
The Mohave & Milltown made a couple of purchases from the Los Angeles & Redondo. The LA&R had recently converted from a 3' gauge steam road to a 42" electric interurban and had surplus equipment. The accounting records of the LA&R (now at Stanford University) shows it sold 10 switches to the M&M and a combine and a locomotive. The combine is probably the one that shows in the picture in Myrick -- its style matches one in a picture taken at Redondo.
There is a number for the locomotive in the accounting records, but it is of no help identifying the locomotive. It is not one listed in the roster in the original edition of Myrick or shown in the picture mentioned above. The LA&R renumbered its locomotives at one time and it appears not to be consecutive; it had six locomotives and only four have been identified.
