Members of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club are not assigned a permanent number. Membership is tracked by the date a person joins and cards are issued that reflect the longevity of a person's membership in the Club. The lowest number reflects a member with the longest membership in the club. If persons drop membership or leave the Club for any reason their numbers are reissued annually to remaining members. In the case of membership number 8 several members would have had this number subsequent to 1938 and prior to Bob Richardson. For the year 2008 another member will then move into the number 8 position.
