Thanks, that gives me a few more pieces to the puzzle.
I do need to ask a question of rolling stock people. I thought the pavilion was only there in the early 80s but I have one photo in which the rolling stock looks much newer than than to my untrained eye (pun intended). My notes says the photo was taken in '86. Can that be correct?
