The Morse Code thing is a nice idea, but don't you think it would be better to use the AMERICAN Morse code instead of the International Radio Morse code for the signals?
In American Morse ("Railroad Morse, as used on the Morse wires there on the D&RGW)code,
the letter "O" is one of the "spaced" characters and is sent as two dots with a short space between the dots.
On the wire "BOB" would be sent like this:
-... . . -...
The signal "BOB"
would be sent on a steam whistle as:
"B" long short short short (pause)
"O" short (half-pause) short
"B" long short short short
I think it is a neat idea.....It should be done!
