Re: C&TSRR appropriations -- Colorado Requests

By going to the Colorado General Assembly web site at www.leg.state.co.us one can follow the status of bills involving the C&TSRR by using the search function to download pdf's of introduced bills that mention the Cumbres and Toltec and then using the Adobe Acrobat search function to find the actual references to the railroad. The Long Bill has not yet been introduced as far as I know.
Doing this search one finds that two bills have been introduced in the Senate. SB07-164 includes a request of $510,000 from the General Fund for operations of the Commission (this is by and large an appropriation to help fund operations). SB07-181 is a Supplemental Appropriations bill for Capital Construction Projects which includes $1,350,000 for C&TSRR track reconstruction and $500,000 for museum preservation projects (e.g., historical C&TS structures in Colorado).
