47 was one of those dry years for Colorado. Not a lot of snow fighting activity on the D&RGW. The RGS ran their rotary in March, but none of the D&RGW rotary plows were used that year.
I am writing a book on D&RGW/RGS snow fighting and it will contain a year to year diary of snow fighting operations on both the narrow gauge and standard gauge.
