Hi Andrew,
I know what you mean aboout the colors. I myself prefer a more traditional look. Little by little I have painted out a lot of the red on the locomotives. They are slowly turning black. Although I can only do so much. The owner likes the red, so for now most of the red stays. The Retlaw One coaches will remain as they are, at least for now. They still have the original paint from Disneyland, albeit they had already been repainted about four times at the park.
As built, these coaches were painted a Grande gold and green with some red and a reddish brown . Later they were painted a canary yellow.
The caboose #303 has been painted a very traditional oxide red intead of the I.R.C.A. yellow It is looking good.
We will be running a public event the first weekend in May
and we hope to have the offical debut of this caboose.
