Isn't that how the song goes? "Kick em when they're up, kick em when they're down" etc...
I can understand how somebody might be concerned about this issue especially as it seems to have originated at the CRRM by somebody (note that I didn't say a staff member!)
It would be nice if someone from Railstar could give us an update as to what is going on with the various locomotives and rolling stock up at the Loop. The #9's tank still needs to be restored as well as the #12's axles (but we have already heard about that from a gentleman in Durango.) I also am interested in the status of #111 as well as the #30/74!
Due to the acrimony between most of us on this forum and the CHS, I seriously doubt that we will hear anything from them! However, there ARE people that are intimately involved with what is happening up at the Loop who DO regularly post here and NO ONE has come forward with any earth-shattering news about Railstar being fired! (This should be our first clue that the sky isn't falling!)
Consider a couple of facts: First, the CHS has contracted with Railstar and it would have to have a d*mn good reason to get rid of them without so much as a by-your-leave! Second, if the CHS actually DID fire Railstar or IF Railstar had wanted out and severed their employment, don't you think that the CHS would be contacting SOMEBODY?!!
Again, when a juicy rumor gets started, whether based on fact or fiction, it takes on a life of it's own as people blow it all out of proportion! I will stick with my initial answer to the original question that started this thread, "Did you hear a rumor about Railstar being fired?" to which I responded simply "No." End of story. In fact, there IS no story!! (*Sigh)
