Fred, I was just passing on the information that was passed on to me by a couple of FEBT members. I do know that the #17 does have major boiler issues. With the #16 & #18 parked over 50 years ago in essentually sevicable condition and kept inside ever since, it wouldn't make any sense to tackle the expensive repairs needed to bring the #17 back to life. I personally dont know the statis of the #12, but seeing it is the only engine in it's class and the oldest engine on the roster, it would be a shame not bring it back.
